Our favorite cottage on Guana!

We've stayed at Key Lime Cottage many times over the years, most recently this March for almost 2 weeks. Key Lime is comfortable, clean, and has the most terrific views. You could sit all day on the lovely porch watching the sailboats and spotting turtles, or reading your favorite book. A short walk to the ocean side for beach walks and swimming, a dock for sea watching or star gazing. Perfect for 6 people! Steve and Lynn are super responsive and do their best to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. We cooked in almost every night but always love a meal at Orchid Bay, Nippers, and Grabbers! We'll be back for sure!

Better than we could have imagined! * * * * *
just thought i'd drop you a note saying
thank you for the use of the key lime, and also how much we enjoyed
our stay. first off, the key lime is one great place. everyone was
pleasantly surprised how well-equipped the house was! the cooking
utensils....the cleanliness....and the overall comforts of home were
fantastic. as we walked around the property we realized what a true
gem this is, and how fortunate we were to be staying there. as this
was all of our first visit to guana, we all thought the island and the
people could not have been better. it's remote but we really did not
go without anything. great weather, great food and great
beaches....what more could anyone wish for! again steve, thank you for
renting to us, it was a great experience

KeyLime Cottage and Guana Cay - A Great Vacation * * * * *
Steve,
You have two wonderful rental units on Guana Cay.
We loved KeyLime for the week we were there and had a chance to walk through your other cottage Calypso before the other rental party arrived.
It is obvious that you have given quite a lot of attention to the presentation of the "overall package" and it certainly shows.
KeyLime itself was spotless and ready for us to the settle in from the moment we arrived. Please send our thanks to your property managers.
The private dock for our rental boat was in great shape and well planned with tie downs in the proper locations for easy access.
Guana Cay in our opinion is the best of the Abaco Cays. It's central location in respect to the other cays is ideal as a base for boating around Abaco, there's good fishing nearby and it's close to several great snorkeling locations. The white sand beaches on Guana Cay are simply beautiful plus there are a few great beach front hangouts on the island that we can't seem to avoid regardless of which Cay we stay on.
We would very much like to return to KeyLime next year around the same time.
One other thing:. Thanks to the DosWinos for the bottle of Chardonnay. It couldn't have been better.

If you've never been to GGC or the Key Lime Cottage you will not be disappointed. The island is laid back and beautiful and the cottage is comfortable , well appointed and oh those views...Rent a boat, get a golf cart and enjoy the beaches and friendly people of GGC!

Don't miss Great Guana Cay and the Key Lime Cottage * * * * *
We had the KLC July 19-23 and had a great time. The house was unbelievable. That was the first time that a place exceeded the expectations of the listing. The inside was nice, but I would say that 90% of my non-sleeping time at the cottage was spent on the porch.
Plenty of draft/dockage and pilings to secure the boat. Very well equiped kitchen/house.
Thanks for making the home available, can't wait to return.

KeyLime Paradise * * * * *
We (three couples) stayed for 8 nights and had an absolutely fantastic time. This modern cottage was easily accessible by boat or by land via a paved road. The cottage had everything that we needed from WiFi Internet and satellite TV to a fully stocked kitchen, laundry and even charcoal for the BBQ. The island was beautiful and the people were very friendly and laid back. The Sunday pork roast at Nippers bar and grill is a must (we rubbed shoulders with the biggest name in baseball and a Hollywood actress that afternoon). Lunch at Baker's Bay marina is also highly recommended. We had the opportunity to meet the owners who were also great and genuinely cared that we have a great time during our visit (Nick and Erich will always remember the lobster adventure. Thanks Steve!!) We will be recommending this property to friends and will visit it again in the future.

Perfection * * * * *
We've been vacationing in the Abacos for over 20 years but this was our first stay at Key Lime - perfection is the only word to describe it.
We're used to the frequent power outages in the Bahamas, but having a backup generator was a special treat. It was also clear that the owners had carefully considered the needs of a visitor and ensured that everything was in place and working well. This is one of the best-equipped kitchens we've experienced and for people who like to cook, that was a special treat.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are generous in size and storage and the beds were very comfortable. The porch deck, as well as the new deck by the water, were ideal places for eating, grilling or just sitting to read a book or enjoy the view. Watching the sunset from the dock became a nightly treat.
As boats are the main mode of transportation, having a sound dock with a fish cleaning station is an important consideration. Again, Key Lime didn't disappoint. And the variety of sea life that swam by on a regular basis was fun to watch.
Key Lime is on the sea-side, but a short walk will take you to the ocean with all the fun and enjoyment you'd normally find on a terrific beach. It was a bit of a walk into town, but we primarily used the boat. If you have older individuals, you may want to get a golf cart for them.
While there weren't as many dining/shopping options as we are used to, the food at the restaurants was excellent and the grocery store sufficiently stocked.
We had a great time fishing in the old cruise ship channel and snorkling around the northern tip of the island - a short ride in the boat was all that was required.
We're grateful for the care and thoughtfulness the owners put into creating this rental choice and also appreciated the bottle of wine that greeted us upon arrival.
We highly recommend Key Lime for a 'perfect' vacation!
